So here's how it goes -
it's seven thirty in the morning
and I decide to do
my music therapy
so it's down to the basement
where I play my theme song
on my red toy piano
and then, three notes
on my toy bugle
and then, my hawaiian song
about Nirvana
on my black ukelele
and then, humming along
with my kalimba
and then, rattling my cabasa
around the body
to expel any demons
and then, striking my cymbal,
suspended on my index finger
to clear out my lungs
and finally, one clang
of the Tibetan singing bowl
with a chanting of the word
and so that's the end
of my daily music therapy
which makes me feel
better.
