I could be wrong
but I think
many of us,
deep inside,
think that when we die
we will go
before a judge
who will give us
a thumbs up
or a thumbs down,
either happiness forever
or misery forever,
and to me
this is a foolish notion,
but I don't remember
my past deaths
and I can't see the future
but it doesn't take
a Zen scientist
to figure out
that this foolish notion
is not true.
